Spectrum Live Season Two is all about showcasing the many talents of individuals on the spectrum. Oftentimes, those with autism and neurodiversity in media are underrepresented or show unrealistic experiences of those on the spectrum. To change this proactively, Spectrum sets the example of what media created by autistic individuals is really like. .
It will be showing at Cinéma du Musée this Saturday, July 16th, at 8:30pm as Part of The Outer Worlds presentation.
This is a really exciting short film we have premiering at Fantasia! We made this during Summer Camp in 2021, and it was one of the first we made in the hybrid format of camp. It's a love letter to some of the most popular video games and characters from recent years, and is full of hilarious moments!

Hurrah for Pete on the 100th Episode of his popular cooking show Sweets with Pete!! This is an awesome achievement and we're amazed to see how far this show has come since the first episode aired in 2014. With standouts like HotGods: The Ultimate Dogoff!, Oreo Cookie Cake, and a rare savory one, Spanish Meatballs, there are so many appetizing episodes it's actually incredible he hasn't run out of recipes yet!
Now Recruiting for our Spectrum Live Season 2 Production Team!
In 2018 we created and hosted the variety show Spectrum Live, which furthered our mission to curate films and media by and for the Autistic Community. Now, with funding from Canadian Heritage, we will produce a brand new season of Spectrum Live with four fresh episodes and 120 minutes of riveting content. We plan to make Season 2 better, more inclusive, and even more fun than Season 1, and we need your help to do so!
We are looking for passionate, motivated Autistic and neurodiverse creators to be part of our production team to really bring this show to life.
We want to give a big Spectrum thank you to the staff at Cardinal Tea Room who have generously let us use their beautiful venue for various film projects!
This installment of the Spectrum Cinematic Universe is the most turbulent chapter yet! It is the culmination of years of films by a dedicated group of participants who have put their heart and soul into this final story, and it shows through the acting, writing and the scope of this film!
Last week we were excited to welcome Carol Ladouceur and Josée Laurendeau from the Roger Roy Foundation to our studio to meet our staff and have a tour of our space! The Roger Roy Foundation has contributed funds to the Creative Media Lab program at Spectrum since 2017 and we are so grateful for their support.

Programming has wrapped up for the year and summer camps are coming soon!
This has been an amazing year for the participants of all our programs, from Creative Media Lab to Social Club and everything in between! In addition to reopening the studio to in-person attendance this spring, we added a new program, Behind the Camera Club, in partnership with Cinema Public for girls, transfem, transmasc and questioning autistic youth. This program will continue in the fall!
Created during Summer Camp in 2021, this short film is one of Summer Camp’s most adventurous films yet! Follow these detectives as they criss-cross the world in search of a powerful weapon in this dramatic and wacky story with some film-noir vibes!

I love working out and I completed a program in personal training. I also studied in graphic design, and I have combined these two skills to start producing YouTube videos. Since I joined Spectrum, I created and edited 3 workout videos, two of them are already up on YouTube.
Sam Clark is 20 years old and has lived in Montreal his whole life. In 2014 he joined Spectrum Productions and made his first film Lawbreakers. Also with his twin brother Leo they made Zombies in Life, an improvised film about a zombie outbreak in the studio when there was a power outage in the building. In 2015 he was inspired by the film Galactic Justice: Rise of the Doominoids to make his own superhero film, and Elec-teen was born!
