Started in 2018, Spectrum Fest is a film and media festival showcasing work from neurodiverse/divergent creators, disabled artists, D/deaf creators, and others who have experienced or are continuing to experience barriers to artistic practice.

I, filmmaker: A festival of self-made stories
Spectrum Fest is a unique film festival promotes and celebrates the artistic work of autistic, neurodiverse and divergent creators, disabled artists, D/deaf creators, and all other individuals facing barriers.
Our 6th year, “I Filmmaker: A Festival of Self-made Stories”, highlights the creativity of independent artists from our communities. Through self-made films and engaging presentations, our audience was inspired by narratives, strategies, and resources aimed at nurturing creativity into a sustainable career.

Changing the Scenery
Now in it’s 5th year, Spectrum Fest 2023 explored how layering perspectives "changes the scenery", adds richness and creates a broader scope of understanding and accessibility in our experiences of film and media.

This year’s festival was an alternative film festival showcasing creativity from the autism spectrum and beyond. The even was kicked off with a final community challenge and celebration.
