COMPONENTS OF FLEX CAMP

1 - 2 WEEKLY VIRTUAL MEETINGS WITH A MENTOR (45 minutes each)
Brainstorm a story, write shot lists, talk about ways of shooting a scene, animating, editing and enjoying all relevant facets of the filmmaking process with a dedicated mentor. Learn different creative media softwares to produce a short achievable film that will be screened at our annual gala in November!

INDEPENDENT WORK ON YOUR PROJECT
Participants and their helpers will shoot video or carry out any other task agreed upon with the mentor to move the project forward.

END OF WEEK GROUP JAMS WITH THE BIG CAMP GROUP
FRIDAYS at 2:30PM - Join the camp-wide Group Jam meetings to show your work, learn about other participants’ projects and see what everyone is up to!

OPTIONAL RECREATION ACTIVITIES
MONDAY TO FRIDAY at 1:00PM - Join in for fun daily games hosted live on Zoom!

FAQ AND EXTRA INFORMATION

MAKING OUR FILM!

• With your mentor, you will make a short film (3-4 minutes long).

• You will design your character, contribute to the story, record your voice, collect and create assets, create an animatic, and work on post-production.

GETTING CONNECTED

• MAIN CALL LINK: Use this link for all Group Jams and recreation activities

• GOOGLE DRIVE: Your mentor will give you a link to google drive to upload footage and progress

• EMAIL ANY TIME DURING THE WEEK: Please notify your mentor by email if you are unable to make a check-in or meeting, and when you upload any new work for review or footage you’ve shot to your folder. Your mentor will be your primary contact for all inquiries.

HOLIDAY INFORMATION

This year Canada Day, July 1, falls on Friday. Spectrum Productions Summer Camp will be operating as usual on that day.

REGISTRATION

Unless other arrangements have been made, the outstanding balance (if any) on your summer camp invoice is due on the first day of attendance. You can pay via your electronic link (note extra Credit Card fee applies), or via Interac e-transfer (info@productionsspectrum.com). Receipts will be issued shortly.
