Community Creator Takes on Their Next Big Project, CMT: The Division

You may know Colm McCarry as Dragon from the Spectrum Cinematic Universe, but he has also been hard at work creating amazing series from the Cryptid files, Mysteries Unraveled, and Dinopedia!

He has many new upcoming projects like CMT Division and Transformers the Downfall, along with a new SCU story that’ll amaze you!

Below I interview Colm about his projects.

Sierra: How long have you been creating films at Spectrum?

Colm: 5 years, almost 6 since I started. 

Sierra: How long have you been creating content independently?

Colm: Fully, almost 7 years independently.

Sierra: If you had to choose, what’s your favourite thing you’ve worked on so far?

Colm: Now that’s a hard one…. I have worked on way too many things… but I will have to go with CMT Division since it is a whole new different adventure for different characters.

Sierra: How many people help you make your videos?

Colm: Well there is my core team ( Steve as Darkphantom, Lucas Ramos as LR360 and Miles as War).  and the main collaborators who include Anthony Campoli who works with us from time to time, Leo Beaudin or Creative Chaos, Sam Clark or SCF and Ben Bisanti who is called Biollante on YouTube.

Sierra: What inspires you to work so hard?

Colm: I think it’s just about creating the worlds in the series like CMT Division and Transformers: the downfall connected universe.

Sierra :Why are you so interested in cryptid creatures?

Colm: It’s just the fact that we have so much more to discover about our world that there might be a possibility that there are creatures like these roaming around the continents.

Sierra: Why did you want to start a series about Dinosaurs?

Colm: Funny story… After season 4 of Cryptid Files, Darkphantom and I were thinking on how to make a series that would be easier to produce… So that’s how Dinopedia was made.

Sierra: Are there more mysteries you are looking to unravel?

Colm: Oh yes, we are going to go from the range of serial killers to the Bermuda triangle in this series.

Sierra: What’s CMT Division all about?

Colm: It is about the adventures our characters that we play on the channel go through.

Sierra: What Transformers story are you telling?

Colm: A very dark, complicated story that will be very much worth it when it is done.

Sierra: What can you tell us about this new SCU story? 

Colm: This audio drama will send fans of the SCU and maybe my character dragon, on the edge of their chairs!
