The Training and Resource Network supports autistic creatives seeking to build professional careers in film and media production. This network enables the development of artistic, technical, and interpersonal skills through hands-on experience with different aspects of the film and media production industry.

Our dedicated team provides guidance as creators identify and map out personal goals. Our annual production calendar creates affordable and inclusive training opportunities to build work-relevant skills. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify interests and establish a roadmap of skills and training objectives to pursue an artistic or technical professional track in film and media production.

  • Attend online webinars and other learning opportunities, receive advice and direction from professional artists and mentors, and access pre-production toolkits and step-by-step instructional challenges

  • Learn and practice professional level skills and techniques with the support of mentors and team leaders through our Creative Media Lab, a weekly career-building program for young adults

  • Work and earn credits through internal opportunities provided by Spectrum Productions and production needs.

  • Build a body of work, develop a professional portfolio and establish a creator profile to communicate to potential employers.

As their skills and abilities develop, emerging professional artists can contribute in leadership and/or mentorship roles to share their experiences and create connections within the Artistic Network, or look to industry employment through our Opportunities page.

CREATIVE MEDIA LAB

The Creative Media Lab (CML) is Spectrum Productions’ weekly career exploration program for youth and young adults who are considering a career in film and media production. Through a project-based approach, members can practice industry-based skills and create connections through collaboration and mentorship.
