Spectrum Fest 2022 – Montreal, Quebec – 4th edition
Autism Acceptance month is fast approaching and what better time to celebrate creators from our community! Are you a neurodivergent, disabled or Deaf creator? We want to see YOUR work!
Last year, we had so much fun hearing from the creators of One Last Bowl and Data Breach. And we were lucky enough to have had an online screening of Salome Chasnoff’s Code of the Freaks through our partnership with Reelabilities Toronto! Good news, we will be continuing our partnership with them this year for an exclusive screening!
Spectrum Fest is a film and media festival showcasing work from neurodiverse/divergent creators, disabled artists, and Deaf creators, and others who have traditionally experienced and continue experiencing barriers to practice. Originally started as a festival to promote and celebrate creative work from the autism spectrum, Spectrum Fest is now in its fourth year and expanding the scope and mandate to one of wider inclusion.

We are looking to select work for our main multi screening event at the DeSève Theater on Saturday April 9 2022 1-5 PM
Works will be selected by a volunteer jury of self-advocates, media creators, and professionals.
Creator must identify as a practitioner experiencing barriers to access and emerging from the neurodiversities, disabled creators, or a Deaf creator
Maximum Length: 15 minutes
Any type of film and video work is welcome. eg. animation, live action, narrative, experimental, etc
All languages welcome. Please provide English subtitles for non-English films.
No submission fee.
Submissions must have been created in the last 3 years.
International and Canadian submissions accepted.
Submissions for Spectrum Fest will be open until March 26th
ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE ACCEPTED ON AN ONGOING BASIS FOR THE VARIETY OF DISSEMINATION/SCREENING INITIATIVES WE RUN INTERNALLY AND WITH PARTNERS!
Your submission could also be considered for Spectrum Live Season Two, a Creator’s Corner interview, a Creator Profile or writing a blogpost (honorarium). Submit your creations for a chance to be featured in this new production!

Le mois de l'acceptation de l'autisme approche à grands pas et quel meilleur moment pour célébrer les créateurs de notre communauté! Êtes-vous un créateur neurodivergent, handicapé ou sourd ? Nous voulons voir VOTRE travail!
L'année dernière, nous nous sommes tellement amusés à entendre les créateurs de One Last Bowl et Data Breach. Et nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une projection en ligne de Code of the Freaks de Salome Chasnoff grâce à notre partenariat avec Reelabilities Toronto ! Bonne nouvelle, nous poursuivrons notre partenariat avec eux cette année pour une projection exclusive !
Spectrum Fest est un festival de films et de médias présentant le travail de créateurs neurodivers/divergents, d'artistes handicapés et de créateurs sourds, et d'autres qui ont traditionnellement rencontré et continuent de rencontrer des obstacles à la pratique. Initialement lancé comme un festival pour promouvoir et célébrer le travail créatif du spectre de l'autisme, Spectrum Fest en est maintenant à sa quatrième année et élargit la portée et le mandat à une inclusion plus large.

Nous cherchons à sélectionner des œuvres pour notre principal événement multi-projections au Théâtre DeSève le samedi 9 avril 2022 de 13h à 17h
Les œuvres seront sélectionnées par un jury bénévole composé d'auto-représentants, de créateurs de médias et de professionnels.
Le créateur doit s'identifier comme un praticien rencontrant des obstacles à l'accès et émergeant des neurodiversités, des créateurs handicapés ou un créateur sourd.
Durée maximale : 15 minutes
Tout type de travail cinématographique et vidéo est le bienvenu. Par exemple prise de vue réelle, narratif, expérimental, film d’animation etc.
Toutes les langues sont les bienvenues. Veuillez fournir des sous-titres en anglais pour les films dans une autre langue.
Pas de frais de dossier.
Les soumissions doivent avoir été créées au cours des 3 dernières années.
Soumissions internationales et canadiennes acceptées.
Les soumissions pour Spectrum Fest seront ouvertes jusqu'au 26 mars
TOUTES LES SOUMISSIONS SONT ACCEPTÉES SUR UNE BASE CONTINUE POUR LA VARIÉTÉ D'INITIATIVES DE DIFFUSION/PROJECTION QUE NOUS ORGANISONS EN INTERNE ET AVEC DES PARTENAIRES!
Votre soumission pourrait également être prise en compte pour Spectrum Live Season Two, une entrevue Creator's Corner, un profil de créateur ou la rédaction d'un article de blog (rémunération).
