Saturday Morning and Advanced Saturday Matinee cartoons are BACK this fall. These programs are the perfect mix of individual work and collaboration! Find out more below about the different options you can choose from.
SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS
Join us for Saturday Morning cartoons, from 10am to noon as we create together in-studio, and with a parallel creator group online (based on interest) online. You’ll get to meet other passionate creators and explore animation in all its forms!
Here’s what we’ll be doing:
10:00am weekly presentation of Animation theme, principle, and creative prompt
10:15-10:50am animation exploration
10.50-11:00am break, animation short screening
11:00-11:45am animation exploration
11:45am animation progress showcase
12.00pm end of day.
PLUS OPTION
For those of you who want to work on individual projects, or who want to develop a technical skill, we recommend the Plus Option, which gives you one 45-minute individual online session with a mentor held during the week at a regular agreed-upon time.
ADVANCED SATURDAY MATINEE CARTOONS
If you already have an understanding of animation and animation software, you should sign up for Advanced Saturday Matinee Cartoons. Join us from 1pm to 4pm to expand your animation and storytelling skills.
Here’s what we’ll be doing:
1pm weekly presentation of Animation principle, and challenge
1:15-2pm animation tim
2-2:15pm break, animation short screening
2:15-3:00pm animation time
3:00-3:05pm short break
3:05-3:45pm animation time
3:45-4:00pm end of session showcase
4:00pm end of daY
For both programs, you can either participate online or in person - depending on what you feel comfortable with. We can’t wait to see you in the studio or on Zoom! In-studio program attendance requires double vaccination and following all of our covid protocol guidelines available here. In the online format, we will do our best to recreate the studio atmosphere as everyone will be in the same virtual space with our talented mentors periodically checking in on progress and being available to answer any questions and give advice.

BANDES DESSINÉES DU SAMEDI MATIN
Rejoignez-nous pour les Dessins animés du samedi matin, de 10 h à midi alors que nous créons ensemble en studio avec un groupe parallèle de créateurs en ligne (en fonction de l'intérêt). Vous pourrez rencontrer d'autres créateurs passionnés et explorer l'animation sous toutes ses formes !
Voici ce que nous allons faire:
10 h 00 présentation hebdomadaire du thème, du principe ou de défi d’animation
10 h 15 - 10 h 50 exploration de l’animation
10 h 50 - 11 h 00 pause, courte projection d’animation
11 h 00 - 11 h 45 exploration de l’animation
11 h 45 présentation de travail des participant.e.s
12 h 00 fin de la journée
OPTION PLUS
Pour ceux et celles d'entre vous qui souhaitent travailler sur des projets individuels ou qui souhaitent développer une compétence technique, nous recommandons l'option Plus, qui vous offre une session individuelle en ligne de 45 minutes avec un mentor tenue pendant la semaine à un rythme régulier à un temps convenu.
DESSINS ANIMÉS AVANCÉS DU SAMEDI APRÈS-MIDI
Si vous avez déjà une compréhension de l'animation et des logiciels d'animation, vous pouvez vous inscrire aux Dessins animés avancés du samedi après-midi. Rejoignez-nous de 13h à 16h pour développer vos compétences en animation et en narration.
Voici ce que nous allons faire:
13h00 présentation hebdomadaire du principe d’animation et défi
13 h 15 -14 h 00 animation
14 h 00 - 14 h 15 pause, courte projection d’animation
14 h 15 - 15 h 00 animation
15 h 00 - 15 h 05 courte pause
15 h 05 - 15 h 45 animation
15 h 45 - 16 h 00 présentation de fin de séance
16 h 00 fin de la journée
Pour les deux programmes, vous pouvez participer en ligne ou en personne - selon ce avec quoi vous vous sentez à l'aise. On a hâte de vous voir en studio ou sur Zoom! La participation en studio nécessite une double vaccination et le respect de notre protocole covid disponible ici. Dans le format en ligne, nous ferons de notre mieux pour recréer l'atmosphère du studio car tout le monde sera dans le même espace virtuel avec nos talentueux mentors vérifiant périodiquement les progrès et étant disponibles pour répondre aux questions et donner des conseils.
