ADVANCED CAMP SCRIPT SUBMISSION CALLOUT : SUMMER 2020

Every year we at Spectrum Productions have been proudly building upon our filmography , bringing our very own movies to the big and small screen! Recently, we’ve made some changes to how we run Summer Camp. Last Summer, we introduced production team pods in each camp to lead our new collaborative model, which amounted to fantastic results in telling three focused, carefully crafted stories in each camp.

This year, we want your help to get ahead of production, giving your story and its universe the care, craft, and attention it deserves. We are calling upon you and your creativity to send in your submissions of what you think an Advanced Camp film should be this year! Is it an adventure? A dramatic film with an ensemble cast? A completely off the wall comedy? Perhaps you only have a new character that you would like to see realized on screen. Send us a character description and how you see that character interacting with others in the world. 

Submit your synopsis, plot outline and/or character description to info@productionsspectrum.com by January 15, 2020!

The Spectrum Team will deliberate and choose three story arcs and invite willing members of our community to a series of pre-production workshops at our studio where you will develop the story and write the screenplay from the ground up! After advance camp script outlines workshops are complete, there will be a chance to choreograph action sequences, set up scene blocking, update/design character costumes and fabricate props for the production.

Remember to keep your submissions to a reasonable length. Ideally you are telling a story that can be told in approximately 10 minutes, having a beginning, middle, and end, and incorporate speaking roles for at least 5 people.

Note that Regular Camps, and Youth Camp will have submission call out announcements and deadlines in Winter 2020, at a date to be determined.
